Triumph inks softball standouts Madison Hanson and Emma Lemley

Agency roster now totals 63 Virginia Tech student-athletes ready for business opportunities

[Blacksburg, VA, October 11, 2022] Triumph NIL today announced the signing of Madison Hanson and Emma Lemley to a Name, Image, and Likeness’ (NIL) contracts. Triumph, a NIL sports marketing agency, develops custom partnerships for collegiate student-athletes with members of the business community, supporters and fans. The group specializes in building meaningful business relationships that meet all NCAA compliance and State legal criteria.

Hanson, a graduate student in Leadership Studies at Virginia Tech, recently finished her undergraduate coursework for a degree in Public Relations. On the diamond, the Smithfield, VA native is a rising Senior with one year of eligibility remaining. As a designated hitter, she appeared in eight games last season, priding herself in serving as a veteran leader on the team and helping her teammates. Hanson is married to Virginia Tech football player Jesse Hanson.

“I am excited to work with Triumph and their team of professionals to help me push my personal brand as a Virginia Tech softball player,” said Hanson. “ As a student-athlete, I am eager to work with Triumph because they are going to help me optimize my NIL opportunities and make things easier!”

As a Freshman pitcher, Lemley appeared in 30 games, starting 23 of them and finishing with a 16-6 record. The on-field accolades poured in for the native of Forest, VA. She was honored three times as the ACC Pitcher of the Week and was the All-ACC Freshman of the Year in addition to being named to the All-Freshman, All-ACC Academic and All-ACC teams. Lemley was also a Top Three Finalist for the 2022 NFCA,/Shutt National Freshman of the Year.
