Triumph builds NIL profiles for Darius Maddox, Justyn Mutts and Sean Pedulla
Trio of men’s basketball stars join CMG Leasing as NIL endorsers
[Blacksburg, VA, September 28, 2022] Triumph NIL today announced Name, Image, Likeness’ (NIL) contracts for clients Darius Maddox, Justyn Mutts and Sean Pedulla. The three Virginia Tech men’s basketball standouts all signed partnership agreements with CMG Leasing and will leverage their NIL rights to promote specific CMG properties through a variety of personal appearances, content development programs, social media posts and live events.

Maddox, a Junior guard from Bowie, Md., played in all 36 games for the Hokies last year, averaging 6.4 points per game. After hitting a game-winning three-point shot against Clemson in the opening round of the 2022 ACC Tournament, he scored 20 points in an upset win over North Carolina en route to Tech’s first ever ACC Tournament championship. For his efforts, Maddox was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Pedulla, a Sophomore guard from Edmund, Ok., has emerged as a top outside threat for the Hokies. In 36 games as a Freshman, he shot 44.7% from behind the three-point line. He, too, played at his best in big games last Spring, scoring 13 points in the Hokies upset of second-seeded Notre Dame in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals and 19 points in the Hokies NCAA Tournament game against Texas.

A Graduate Student in 2022-23, Mutts has become a fan-favorite across Hokie nation. His all-around quality play is only matched by his school pride and commitment to education. The Millville, NJ-native started all 36 games for the Hokies last season, averaging 10.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game while totaling a team-best 123 assists on the year. Among the many accolades following the Hokies ACC Tournament title, Mutts was honored with the 2022 Skip Prosser Award as the ACC Men’s Basketball Scholar Athlete of the Year. Mutts previously signed an agreement with Mike Jones Ford Lincoln.
